Because Every Patient Deserves The Right Team.
A colorectal cancer diagnosis is best managed by a team—not just a single doctor. At ARC, every patient benefits from coordinated expertise, advanced technology, and treatment plans designed around both outcomes and quality of life.
Our Vision
The ARC — Apollo Rectal Cancer Programme at Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai, is a specialized initiative for colorectal cancer care. It unites expert surgeons, robotic technology, and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment. Beyond treatment, ARC offers structured evaluations, personalized strategies, and ongoing support to enhance outcomes and maintain quality of life.
Why ARC Exists
Care That Revolves Around You
Your diagnosis is just one part of your story. Our approach ensures that every aspect of your care—medical, emotional, and practical—is considered to create a treatment path that truly fits you.

Beyond Treatment—Complete Care
At ARC, we look beyond procedures. Our focus is on delivering comprehensive care that supports patients at every stage, helping them navigate treatment with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
How ARC Manages Every Case?
A Dedicated Programme — Not a Single Procedure
At ARC, treatment is not defined by one surgery or one approach. It is a complete programme built around the patient.
What this includes:
Dedicated colorectal cancer specialists
Multidisciplinary tumour board evaluation
Personalised treatment pathways
Advanced robotic and minimally invasive surgery
Structured follow-up and long-term surveillance

A Letter From the Programme Director
Why we built ARC.
India sees more than forty-one thousand new rectal cancer diagnoses every year, and fewer than five percent of those patients are operated on at a centre that does this work as a subspecialty. The rest are managed by good general surgeons doing their best in a system that was never designed around this disease.
ARC was built to close that gap. Not as a slogan — as a working unit. Four consultant colorectal surgeons. Three robotic colorectal fellows. A weekly tumour board that meets without exception. A proton beam centre in the same building. A telesurgery institute that reaches forty hospitals across India. A twenty-four-hour helpline that a frightened family can call at one in the morning.
If a rectal cancer diagnosis has brought you to this page, our promise is plain. You will be operated on by the largest dedicated team in the country. You will be reviewed by every relevant specialty before a single decision is made. You will be offered every chance — every chance — to keep your continence, your sexual function, and your dignity intact. We will tell you the truth. We will not give up early on your bowel.
Welcome to ARC.
